Logo design & branding

An original logo, drawn for your business, that works everywhere you put it.

Creating something from nothing is the hardest part of starting a business, and the logo is where most owners get stuck. JWCAA has drawn hundreds of identities for businesses, schools and artists. You get two original concepts, two rounds of revisions, every file format and full ownership of the result.

Creating something from nothing

A logo has one job: to be recognized. It has to do that job in a lot of places.

Most logos are chosen the way most fonts are chosen: something looked nice on a screen at one size, and nobody asked what happens next. Then the sign company says the file is too small, the embroiderer says the gradient will not stitch, and the tiny version in the browser tab is an unreadable smudge.

A logo is not a picture. It is a mark that has to survive every place your business shows up. When JWCAA draws one, it is built as vector art from the first sketch and checked against the hard cases before you ever see a concept, because a logo that fails one of them costs you money every time you order something.

Every logo we deliver is built to

  • Read clearly as a 16-pixel favicon
  • Hold up on a truck door or storefront sign
  • Print in one color on stamps, forms and invoices
  • Reverse to white on a black background
  • Stitch cleanly on embroidered shirts and hats
  • Scale without blur, because it is vector, not pixels
  • Sit beside your business name without fighting it
  • Look like your business and nobody else’s

Logo vs. brand

A logo is a mark. A brand is the system around it.

A logo on its own is a starting point. The moment you order business cards, set up email or put the mark on a sign, you need answers: which blue exactly, which font for the headline, how much space around the mark, what the stacked version looks like. A brand system writes those answers down once, so every piece you order matches the last one.

Logo variations

A primary mark, a stacked version and a standalone icon, each in full color, one-color black and reversed white, so the right version exists for every space from a square avatar to a wide banner.

Color palette

Your colors defined in HEX for the web, RGB for screens and CMYK for print, so the gold on your business card is the same gold on your website and your storefront sign.

Typography

A headline face and a body face, with the weights and sizes to use them at. Type is half of what makes a brand feel consistent, and it is the half most people skip.

Usage rules

Minimum sizes, clear space, what goes on dark backgrounds and the short list of things not to do: stretch it, recolor it, add a drop shadow. The page you hand a vendor so they get it right.

Business card

A print-ready business card built on the system, with bleed and the correct color mode, ready for any printer or for us to produce with your other print pieces.

Email signature

A clean signature that renders correctly in Gmail and Outlook, with your logo, title and contact details, so even a two-line reply looks like the brand.

One designer, every piece

The same hand draws the logo, lays out the card and builds the site

Brands drift when the pieces are made by different people. The web designer picks one shade, the print shop substitutes a font, and the sign company traces a JPG. JWCAA designs the logo, the stationery, the website and the signage from the same source files, in the same studio on Old 41 in Bonita Springs, so nothing gets reinterpreted along the way.

For a home cleaning company, the website, quote form, rack cards and business cards were designed as one system. For an exterior cleaning company, the same mark carries across a 51-page website and its estimate forms. When you are ready for signs, wraps or shirts, the files are already right.

How a logo gets made

From a blank page to files you own

Discovery

A conversation about what you do, who you sell to, what you like and cannot stand, and where the logo has to live: sign, truck, website, shirts. This is where the consulting time included in your package goes, and it is where the good ideas come from.

Two concepts

Two original directions, drawn as vector art and shown in context rather than floating on white. You pick one, or tell us what to keep from each.

Two rounds of revisions

Color, type, proportion, spacing. Two full rounds are included and most projects do not need more. Further changes are $59 per hour, and we tell you before the clock starts.

Final files & ownership

Every format and every color version, organized and labeled so you know which file to send where. Ownership of the final logo transfers to you.

Branding FAQ

Common questions

What file formats will I receive?

Vector files (SVG, PDF and EPS) that scale to any size without losing quality, which is what sign makers, printers and embroiderers need; transparent PNGs for your website, social profiles and email signature; and JPGs for the places that will not accept transparency. Each comes in full color, one-color black and reversed white, labeled so you know which one to send.

Do I own my logo?

Yes. Ownership of the final logo is transferred to you when the project is complete. You are free to pursue a trademark on it, hand it to any vendor and take it with you if you ever work with someone else. There are no licensing fees and no files held back.

What if I need more than two rounds of revisions?

Two full rounds are included with both packages, and a good discovery conversation means most projects finish inside them. Changes beyond that are billed at $59 per hour, with an estimate before we start, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

What is the difference between a rebrand and a refresh?

A refresh keeps the mark your customers already recognize and fixes what is wrong with it: redrawn as clean vector art, colors corrected, type updated, a proper reversed version made. A rebrand starts over with new concepts. If your current logo only exists as a low-resolution JPG, a consultation will tell you which one you need. BizWiz Web Professional includes a logo or branding refresh; BizWiz Web Supreme includes branding, a redesign or a full rebrand alongside the website.

How long does a logo take?

Most logo projects finish within a few weeks of the discovery conversation, and branding projects take a little longer because there are more pieces to build. The pace depends mostly on how quickly you review each round. If you have a deadline, such as a sign order or a grand opening, tell us at the consultation and we will plan the schedule around it.
