Privacy policy

Who we are

JW Consulting And Advisory (“JWCAA”, “we”, “us”) is a design and consulting studio owned and run by Jessica Wood at 28380 Old 41 Rd, Ste 4, Bonita Springs, FL 34135. This policy covers jwcaa.com and the forms on it. Websites we build for other businesses have their own privacy policies, set by those businesses.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information, and only as much as we need.

Information you give us. When you use the contact form or the BizWiz inquiry form, we ask for your name, business name, email address, phone number, website if you have one, and a message describing what you need. Apart from the bot check described below, a form collects nothing you did not type into it. If you email us directly, we keep that correspondence too.

Technical information. When analytics is enabled on this site, Google Analytics 4 records which pages were viewed, the type of device and browser, an approximate location at the city or region level, and the site that referred you here. IP anonymization is turned on, and we do not use analytics to identify individual visitors. This site does not use cookies for advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking of any kind.

How our forms work

Every form on jwcaa.com is protected by up to three layers: a hidden honeypot field that only automated scripts fill in; a server-side check before anything is accepted, which also rejects forms filled in faster than a person could; and, when it is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile, which confirms a real person is submitting rather than a bot. Turnstile looks at some technical details about your browser to make that decision, under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.

Once a submission passes, it is delivered to our business email and logged to a private spreadsheet that we control. Both go to Jessica personally. We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone outside the services listed below.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to:

• reply to your question or consultation request;
• prepare a proposal, quote or BizWiz package recommendation;
• provide the services you hire us for, such as registering your domain, setting up hosting and email, or delivering your logo files;
• send invoices and receipts.

Invoices are issued and paid through Square. When you pay by card, your card number goes directly to Square and is handled under Square’s security standards. We never see, store or process your card details ourselves.

We do not use your inquiry to add you to a mailing list or to send marketing you did not ask for.

Third parties we rely on

Like any small business, we use a handful of services to run this website and the studio. Each one processes limited information on our behalf and publishes its own privacy policy:

• Our hosting provider serves the pages of jwcaa.com and may keep standard server logs (IP address, time and page requested) for security and troubleshooting.
• Google and Google Analytics handle our business email, the spreadsheet where form submissions are logged, and site analytics when enabled. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Cloudflare provides the Turnstile bot check on our forms when it is enabled. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
• Square issues our invoices and processes payments. See Square’s privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Inquiries are kept for as long as we need them to respond and to keep an accurate record of who asked for what. If you become a client, your contact details, proposals, invoices and project files are kept while we work together and afterward for as long as tax and accounting rules require business records to be retained. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account and is then deleted automatically.

Your choices

• Delete your inquiry. Email info (at) jwcaa.com and ask. We will remove your submission from our inbox and spreadsheet and confirm when it is done. The only exception is records we are required to keep, such as invoices already issued.
• Correct your details. Send us the correction and we will update it.
• Opt out of analytics. Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, use your browser’s private mode, or install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works exactly the same either way.
• Skip the form. If you would rather not use a form at all, email us directly at info (at) jwcaa.com.

Children

jwcaa.com is a business site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted a form, email us and we will delete it.

Security

Every page on jwcaa.com is served over HTTPS, so anything you type into a form is encrypted between your browser and our server. The site sends modern security headers, has no content management system or plugins to be exploited, and every form submission is verified before it is accepted. Access to the inbox and spreadsheet where submissions live is limited to Jessica. No method of transmitting or storing information is perfectly secure, but we keep the surface small and the access short.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. The current version is always the one posted here.
